Overview

With the recent developments on the extension of the lockdown and the severity of the COVID_19 spread in the city, a lot of people are left without hope and worried about their bare necessities. One particular segment of society that is often neglected and where help reaches last are the sex-workers.

ZLS Foundation is partnering with Kayakalpa, an NGO which operates in the red light area of Pune and provides health care, counselling, intervention and other services to the sex workers and their families. There are about 2800+ women residing in this locality along with their kids and other family members. Their need for food essentials is at risk. During this tough time, Kayakalpa is helping provide for their basic needs.

Our Goal

• We will be sourcing the supplies to put together 1,000 food packets, to be distributed to the families through our on-ground partner, Kayakalpa.

• Each food packet costs Rs.500.

• Contents of each packet ; 2kg Rice, 2kg Wheat Flour, 500gm Tuwar Dal, 500gm Mung Dal, 250gm Tea, 1kg Sugar & 1ltr Cooking Oil

• The total cost of this effort is Rs.5,00,000/-
